Reggie the rabbit

Picture
Reggie was born to a family of wealth from the Chicago area. They owned and operated a chain of automotive repair centers and even sponsored  cars in many styles of racing. Reggie, or Reginald as they called him, got his start in the center nearest the family home. He moved on to working on their premier racing car, a high-end Indy style car. He got many opportunities to take to the different tracks, much preferring street circuits to overalls. He was educated in running the business and repairing the cars, but he had an older brother. Theodore went to university and studied business, so after he graduated, he was handed the keys to the kingdom. Reginald was pushed to the sidelines.

"Borrowing" funds from the family, Reggie escaped the Chicago area and headed west, deciding this was less conspicuous. He moved to Seattle and set up shop. He found a building, complete with underground storage on a large scale, in a shady area of town. Here, he earned respect by doing excellent repairs at a very competitive price. One day, a car pulled into the small outside lot that needed major repairs, especially since there were bullet holes in the block. Suddenly, he became known to the underbelly of the city as the place to take work that needed discretion and speed. He soon became know to a certain Mr. Johnson and more subtle, yet lucrative work started coming his way.

Reggie found that, while having a good staff that took care of the general public, work of the more discrete nature was able to be hidden from the authorities as his income allowed him to build in a protected area for it. Whenever the cops, or even those of more power came to visit, they only saw a normal, neighborhood repair shop. But, underneath even that hidden level, there was another where his own vehicles were housed (except the speedboat of course, which was kept in the city marina under an alias).
