Varen "Seeker" Moore was born to humble parents in the farming village of Ellomyr. He was tasked to take the quarterly gift of grain to the guards at the Amber Monolith, however, he turned from his task when he felt a call. He followed the feeling into a cavern which went deep into the earth, finding a small, glowing orb. Excitement filled his veins when he reached out to what could only be a numenera device. Upon touching it, his eyes were opened to the realm of the dead and the god that ruled it, Kelemvor. Fear did not embrace him though, only calmness as Kelemvor reminded him death was only a part of life. He was gifted with some divine magic and tasked to not allow any to see death before their time.
Waking up outside the cave, he returned to the cart holding the grain and continued on his way. Arriving at the monolith to see the aftermath of battle. Gathering himself, he moved forward through the wounded and dying, gently placing a hand on each to protect them from death. The guards took note of this and sent word to Qi. Soon after, a messenger arrived at his home requesting his presence at the Order of Truth, he was being offered a position among their students.
A prestigious advancement for the family, he was escorted to Qi where he learned how to channel the magic within and advanced his skills. He was soon commissioned to a unit under the command of Pif Surnosk of the Zhev Guard. Many missions were carried out to find rumored numenera devices, most of which was found by Varen causing him to receive the name "Seeker." As he continued to use his divine powers, his eyes eventually turned white.
Upon orders, he joined Evangeline, an Aeon Priest, as her guard, not knowing where her task could take them. He embraced this task as the Order of Truth would want him to continue the search for numenera. He has since had another encounter with Kelemvor through visions, where he was once again given gifts, this time of the martial kind. He was also given the task to stop Velsharoon from returning more powerful than when he left.

Rob has been gaming since 1979, starting with 1st edition D&D. He has played all of the other incarnations of the game up to and including 5e. He has also been a game master for decades and often has many players ask him to run other games, especially Shadowrun. He loves to play and has legions of different characters which he has played over the years, across many different systems. From Traveller to G.U.R.P.S. to Champions 5th edition, if it is a system, he has probably played it (or at the very least heard of it). He cannot get enough of RPGs.
